The Basics for a Great Cup of Coffee

1. Always use fresh cold tap water. Bottled or filtered water is purest. Or just make the coffee in a Krups water filtration coffee maker - you'll enjoy smooth, full-flavored coffee every time.

2. Krups coffee makers brew coffee between 190-250 degrees Fahrenheit. Any hotter will result in bitter coffee.

3. Don't reheat coffee - make it fresh each time. To keep coffee hot and delicious for longer periods of time, brew it in a Krups thermal coffee maker.

4. Make sure your coffee is the right grind. Too coarse and you'll have watery coffee. Too fine a grind will cause bitterness. Ideally the correct grind will allow coffee to finish dripping in two to four minutes. When in doubt, use a Krups grinder for perfectly ground beans.

5. Use two rounded tablespoons for every 6 ounces of water. Adjust to your taste but keep in mind, skimping will result in a weak, bitter brew.
