Also, when I would remove the cover and wanted to put it back on to grind a little longer, the leaking grounds would prevent the cover from seating completely and therefore the on/off switch wouldn't work. Bad design.... Finally got a Krups grinder "Fast-Touch" model 203. This seems to work well. Another good one is the blade model sold by Starbucks.
